Everyone is chanting the name of Modi: Yediyurappa

The symbol of “chombu” (empty vessel) has become a key part of campaigning for the Indian National Congress (INC) ahead of the second phase of polling wherein polling will take place in 14 constituencies from Karnataka. This is their way of stating that the promises of the Modi government haven’t reached people. The “chombu” advertisements have infuriated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) supporters.

Former Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappa called for a press meet and lashed out at the Siddaramaiah government. “The Siddaramaiah government has reduced the guarantee which people of Karnataka had towards their life. In Hubballi, the daughter of a corporator has been killed in an inhumane manner. The Siddaramaiah government has failed to provide justice to the family members of people his own party. The status of law and order in the state has deteriorated. The Siddaramaiah government is encouraging communal forces,” Yediyurappa said.
