Actors Jaggesh, Darshan in trouble

They are alleged to have possessed tiger claws

Complaints too have been lodged against them

The arrest of Varthur Santosh from the sets of Kannada Big Boss for possessing tiger claws had sent shockwaves across the state. It is illegal to own such tiger claws. Presently, he is in judicial custody. 

However, his arrest has opened up a world of complaints against other celebrities like actor Jaggesh. In one of the interviews he gave, he is heard confessing that his own mother gifted him tiger claws. With the video going viral, a complaint too has been lodged against him. Activists are urging authorities to take penal action against him as well.

Apart from Jaggesh, another Kannada actor Darshan too finds himself in a spot of bother as a complaint has been lodged against him as well for possessing tiger claws. A picture of him sporting the tiger claw has gone viral, which could act as evidence against him. 

A priest of a temple in Tumakuru, Dhananjay Guruji too finds himself in the dock as pictures of him sporting tiger claws has gone viral. 

After a complaint was lodged against him, he too was summoned by the authorities and questioned. 

As more and more episodes of sporting tiger claws emerge, Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre has asserted law will catch up soon. 

He said, “The law of the land applies equally to all. Nobody will be spared. As of now, I don’t have sufficient information. However, officials will scrutinise all relevant complaints.”
