Is the noose tightening for A1 Pavitra Gowda and A2 Darshan in the Renukaswamy murder case?
Newsfirst Prime learns that as many as eight new sections have been pressed by the police against the two.
Cases under sections 302 and 201 - murder and destruction of evidence - had already been filed. The new sections are IPC 364 dealing with kidnap, IPC 384 dealing with extortion, IPC 355, dealing with criminal force, IPC 148 dealing with use of weapons to assault people, IPC 120(B) dealing with criminal conspiracy, IPC 143 dealing with illegal congregation, IPC 147, dealing with rioting, and IPC 149 dealing with vicarious liability of unlawful assembly.
After pressing these sections, the police have meticulously collected all the evidence which is clinching in nature. They have collected more than 40 CCTV footage, iron rod, wooden clubs to assault Renukaswamy, car and auto which were used to kidnap him, CCTV visuals which have captured the travel history, eyewitnesses in the form of two security guards who have testified before the magistrate under CrPC 164.
Earlier, the postmortem report revealed that he had suffered 39 grave injuries, 7 hairline fractures, 8 marks of electrocution, among others.
These pieces of evidence stand testimony to the barbarity and brutality of the murder.
