  • This is being done keeping the election in mind: Chaluvaraya
  • Chaluvaraya Swamy reaffirmed his status as a devotee of Lord Ram
  • Let them declare a holiday as a central government: Chaluvaraya

Minister of Agriculture in the Government of Karnataka N.Chaluvaraya Swamy opined on the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha which has been scheduled on January 22nd. “Modi alone will participate in the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. None of the Cabinet Ministers have been called. L.K Advani who fought for the Ram Mandir has been advised not to attend the event. Various monasteries have boycotted the call for the inauguration of an incomplete temple. This is being done keeping the election in mind. This is why we will not be going to the event,” he said.

Chaluvaraya Swamy reaffirmed his status as a devotee of Lord Ram. “We are also filled with joy over the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. However, doing it for the sake of elections is not right. These tactics will work for too long. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aims to fight elections over gods and temples,” he added.

He also pointed to the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah not having got an invite. “Isn’t this an insult to Kannadigas. Let them declare a holiday as a central government. As a rarity the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi is by his side. Amit Shah is also not around. The posters of Modi are bigger than Ram. The people will answer to BJP for doing politics over revered gods,” he remarked.
