Francis attributes her longevity to one simple principle: "Speak your mind and don't hold your tongue," she advised, highlighting her approach to a fulfilling life. Despite experiencing significant global changes and challenges, she has remained composed and resilient.
Her life story exemplifies perseverance and strength. As a single mother, she raised her daughter, now 95 years old, managed a coffee shop in Houston, and preferred walking over driving. Today, her daughter lives with her, and they enjoy a close relationship. "They love sitting together, laughing, and watching old episodes of 'Good Times' and 'The Jeffersons,'" said Francis' 69-year-old granddaughter, Ethel Harrison. "They also enjoy 'The Price is Right.' Both feel incredibly fortunate to share these moments so late in life," she added.
Francis' extraordinary life and enduring spirit continue to inspire her family and the nation, leaving a lasting legacy of resilience and joy.
