Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has appealed to chief ministers of other Indian states to ensure the safety and well-being of Kashmiri students. His appeal came in response to a post on X, which claimed that many Kashmiri students across the country are feeling frightened and unsafe due to the current tense atmosphere.

Abdullah confirmed that the Jammu and Kashmir administration is closely monitoring the situation and is actively coordinating with the respective state governments from where these concerns have emerged. He emphasized that he is personally reaching out to his counterparts in these states to urge them to take additional measures to protect Kashmiri students and ensure their security.

By publicly addressing the issue, Abdullah aims to calm the fears of students and their families back in Jammu and Kashmir, while also calling on other states to act responsibly and prevent any kind of discrimination or harm.
