In response to the devastating Pahalgam terror attack, India launched Operation Sindhoor, a rapid and precise military strike on nine terrorist hideouts across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation, carried out by the Indian Army and Air Force, lasted only 23 minutes, killing 80-90 terrorists and destroying several key terror camps.

The strike targeted areas in Muridke, Muzaffarabad, Bahawalpur, Kotli, Chak Amru, Gulpur, and Bhimber, with a focus on key locations where Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were believed to be operating. Notably, the strike led to the elimination of 25-30 terrorists in both Bahawalpur and Muridke, and a significant JeM training camp in Muzaffarabad was completely destroyed.

02:46 AM – Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweets “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as a mark of pride.
02:50 AM – India informs Russia and the UK about the attacks.
02:51 AM – Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, issues a statement.
03:00 AM – Exchange of fire begins along the India-Pakistan border.
03:05 AM – Three Indian civilians are killed in Pakistan’s retaliatory fire.
03:44 AM – Indian Air Force carries out an airstrike on Pakistan’s terror infrastructure.
03:10 AM – U.S. President Donald Trump is informed about the operation.
03:20 AM – Lahore and Sialkot airports are shut down.
