According to Colonel (Retd) John Spencer, an American urban warfare expert, India demonstrated both offensive and defensive superiority. He highlighted that the BrahMos missiles used were capable of penetrating Pakistan’s Chinese-origin air defence systems, underscoring India’s advanced military capabilities.
Operation Sindoor began on May 7 with a targeted offensive on terror camps located deep within Pakistani territory. Indian forces reportedly jammed and bypassed enemy radar systems, neutralising key targets while avoiding significant damage to Indian assets.
The operation also included successful interceptions of Pakistani drone and missile attacks, showcasing India’s defensive readiness. Analysts say the swift execution of both defensive and offensive measures underlines India’s preparedness and sends a strategic message to adversaries in the region.
The operation has been widely seen as a demonstration of India's ability to project power and protect its sovereignty with advanced precision weaponry.
