‘Our daughter’s biggest concern…’: Anushka’s heartfelt message to Virat as he retires

After the Indian Cricket team clinched a thrilling victory at the ICC T20 World Cup, fans were both ecstatic and heartbroken. While celebrating the team's outstanding performance, the announcement of retirements from beloved cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja brought tears to many eyes.

Virat Kohli, in particular, received an outpouring of heartfelt messages, with the most touching one from his wife, actress Anushka Sharma. She shared a poignant moment, saying, "Our daughter's biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on TV. Yes, my darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people, she added.

Anushka praised Virat, expressing, "So grateful to call you my home. Now go have a glass of sparkling water," ending her message with a few heartfelt emoticons.

Virat responded on Instagram, sharing his gratitude towards his wife : "None of this would remotely be possible without you, my love. You keep me humble, grounded, and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it’s mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU."

Earlier, in an interview, Virat mentioned that once he steps away from the spotlight, he plans to stay out of it. While this news might sadden his fans, they can find solace in knowing their favorite cricketer is a devoted family man, known for his famous goofy video calls with his family, even during the busiest times.
