The K-Wave Festival, held in Bengaluru, gathered a multitude of Korean pop culture enthusiasts in one central location. The inaugural event, which unfolded at Jayamahal Palace Grounds recently, saw an impressive turnout of more than 2,200 K-pop admirers from across Bengaluru.

Anmol Kukreja, the event organizer, expressed that with the massive following of K-pop in India, they felt the need to orchestrate this festival. Additionally, this celebration also marks the 50-year milestone of diplomatic ties between India and South Korea. The festival boasted a variety of food stalls serving an array of authentic Korean delicacies, ranging from corn dogs to kimchi, and even a barbecue station on-site.

Among the attendees were Esha Rachel and Disha Pattnaik, long-time engineering students and K-pop enthusiasts for almost a decade. Brimming with excitement, Rachel remarked that they were thrilled to hear about Kim Woojin's performance and they have been K-pop fans for almost nine years now!

The evening unfolded with engaging workshops, live performances, and captivating displays of Taekwondo by young performers. The highlight of the night was the joint performance by headliners Kim Woojin and X:in, which left the audience spellbound.

The inclusion of popular Indian tracks like "Kaala Chashma" (Baar Baar Dekho, 2016) and "Challeya" (Jawan) in the performances struck a chord with the attendees, adding an extra layer of cultural fusion to the event.
