  1. Protein intake: Good protein intake helps develop muscles. This in turn, can help improve metabolism. 
  2. Green tea: If you love green tea, you are indeed lucky! It has an antioxidant called EGCG, which as per reports helps boost metabolism. It can also help reduce your weight. 
  3. Sleep: Some may not agree when we say good nocturnal sleep can help improve metabolism. 7 to 8 hours of sleep can boost metabolism. To get good sleep, developing a good sleep pattern is essential. 
  4. High-intensity training: Such training helps in increasing muscle mass. And this, in turn, increases metabolism. Exercises like weightlifting can help burn calories even at rest.  
  5. Reducing stress: High stress can increase cortisol levels in the body. This can have an adverse effect on digestion and metabolism. So essentially, keeping stress at bay by yoga and meditation can improve metabolism. 

Apart from these, adding more spices to your diet, drinking cold water (7 to 8 glasses a day), keeping alcohol consumption to minimum levels also contribute to better metabolism.
