Following the Pahalgam attack, escalating developments between India and Pakistan have heightened fears of potential war. Pakistan has responded aggressively to India’s actions, even threatening nuclear retaliation. However, a critical internal issue has now come to light.

Reports reveal that Pakistan has only enough ammunition to sustain a war for merely four days or 96 hours.
This alarming limitation stems primarily from an ongoing shortage of essential war supplies. The ammunition crisis has been intensified by Pakistan’s arms supply commitments to Ukraine and Israel, both currently engaged in separate conflicts. Pakistan had previously entered agreements with these countries, exporting large quantities of weapons and ammunition, depleting its own reserves in the process.
Military insiders note that Pakistan lacks sufficient 155mm shells for its M109 howitzers and 122mm rockets for BM-21 systems, crucial for any large-scale military response. As tensions rise, Pakistan’s defense ministry is reportedly anxious, holding meetings to address this growing concern.
Despite these shortages, Pakistani leaders continue to issue provocative statements. However, with only four days’ worth of ammunition, experts doubt Pakistan’s capability to engage in a sustained military confrontation.
