Deep Raj Chandra, a native of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was working at BEL in Bengaluru as a PIDC (Production, Inspection, and Quality Control) employee. Authorities discovered that he had been secretly passing crucial defense-related information to Pakistan, raising concerns about national security breaches.

According to intelligence sources, despite Pakistan being geographically distant, it continues to monitor India's defense infrastructure and has a history of espionage activities. While Pakistan has often faced setbacks in direct confrontations, its intelligence networks persistently seek to gather classified data. Chandra's arrest serves as fresh evidence of these covert operations.

The investigation has revealed that Chandra managed to work at BEL without suspicion for a significant period. However, upon receiving intelligence inputs, authorities tracked his communications and financial transactions, leading to his arrest. Further interrogation is underway to determine the extent of data leaked and whether he had accomplices.

This arrest highlights the constant espionage threats India faces, reinforcing the need for heightened vigilance in critical defense establishments.
