Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has stirred fresh controversy with a statement claiming that the Indian Air Force launched targeted strikes on two critical Pakistani airbases, Noor Khan Base in Rawalpindi and Shorkot Air Base, during a period of heightened military readiness in Islamabad.

According to Dar, the strikes took place while Pakistan was preparing a possible response to perceived Indian military threats. Within minutes of the incident, Dar claims that Saudi Crown Prince Faisal bin Salman reached out to him personally, expressing serious concern and requesting a direct conversation with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. He also revealed that Pakistan reached out to the United States in an attempt to prevent the crisis from escalating further into open military conflict.

These remarks follow earlier comments made by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who had acknowledged a BrahMos missile strike by India. Dar’s confirmation adds to the growing narrative that behind-the-scenes military activity between the two nations has been more intense than public discourse suggests.
