In a fresh provocation along India’s western frontier, multiple armed drones from Pakistan were detected early this morning in the Khasa Cantonment area near Amritsar. The incident occurred around 5:00 AM, when Indian air defence systems swiftly responded to the aerial intrusion.
According to official sources, the drones were carrying munitions and posed a direct threat to both military installations and civilian safety. The hostile UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) were immediately neutralised by India’s alert defence units before they could cause any damage.
The Indian Army condemned the act as a blatant violation of national sovereignty, characterising it as a deliberate escalation by Pakistan. “Such attempts to endanger civilian lives and disrupt peace will not be tolerated,” a senior defence official stated. “The Indian Army remains fully prepared to counter any hostile action and will decisively thwart any designs against the nation.”

This incident marks another addition to a string of recent drone incursions and cross-border hostilities reported along the India-Pakistan border, raising concerns about heightened tensions in the region. The Ministry of Defence is expected to issue a formal protest through diplomatic channels, urging Pakistan to cease such aggressive manoeuvres.
Security has been further tightened in border areas, with surveillance and patrolling being intensified to prevent future threats. Authorities have reassured the public that all necessary measures are in place to maintain peace and safeguard national interests.
