Actress Parineeti Chopra and politician of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Raghav Chada tied the knot in a ceremony in Udaipur in Rajasthan on 24th September. The wedding took place in the Leela Palace hotel. 

The outfits for the wedding were designed by Manish Malhotra, the trusted fashion designer among many in Bollywood. They were both draped in a cream colour wedding costume. Singer Navraj Hans performed in the event on the theme “90s party”. 

Many well known figures attended the ceremony including Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP’s Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh and actor Bhagyashree. Film producer Karan Johar and actress Priyanka Chopra however were not seen in the event. Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray was also seen in the event. They had gotten engaged in May, earlier this year. 

They took to social media and expressed their delight.

“From the very first chat at the breakfast table, our hearts knew. Been waiting for this day for a long time. So blessed to finally be Mr and Mrs!. Couldn’t have lived without each other. Our forever begins now,” Parineeti Chopra expressed on X (formerly known as Twitter). Raghav Chada had also made the same post almost simultaneously.”
