She emphasized how smoking, drinking, and sedentary habits are contributing significantly to infertility issues in both men and women.

Dr. Vijay highlighted a growing concern: "Earlier, we used to see 1 to 2 out of 10 couples facing infertility. Now, the number has increased to 5 or 6 out of 10." According to her, a key issue is male infertility caused by low sperm count, while women are experiencing a rapid decline in egg reserves. She attributed these rising fertility problems to several factors, including exposure to harmful chemicals and electromagnetic radiation. "These exposures are disrupting hormones and negatively affecting reproductive health," she explained.
The event also raised concerns about society’s increasing obsession with wealth, fame, and career, often at the expense of health. "We are so focused on accumulating material success that we neglect our well-being, which has direct consequences on fertility," Dr. Vijay remarked.
With infertility challenges affecting millions in India, Path to Parenthood is offering much-needed insights into how lifestyle changes and better health practices can improve fertility outcomes, empowering couples on their journey to parenthood.
