The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Indian National Congress (INC) will jointly contest the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections as part of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA). Congress would be contesting on 23 seats and the AAP would be contesting in the Baruch and the Bhavnagar constituencies with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) already declared as having won the Surat constituency unopposed. 

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal arrived in Gujarat to campaign for AAP. “They have put Arvind Kejriwal forcefully behind bars during elections so that his voice doesn’t reach the people. But the people are very smart and they will respond with their votes,” she said in an interaction with the media outside the Ahmedabad Airport.

Rajya Sabha member of the AAP Sandeep Pathak responded to PM Modi’s claim that the INDIA government would take away reservation from the SC,ST and OBC communities and hand it to the Muslim community.  “I would like to ask the prime minister why he remembers all these things before the elections. Why don’t you ask for votes on the strength of your work? I think the prime minister is the biggest friend of Pakistan. Even in the assembly elections, people showered their love on Kejriwal, looking at his work in Delhi. The people of Gujarat will shatter the BJP’s overconfidence. People will respond through votes for how Kejriwal was jailed through injustice and tyranny,” he stated.
