The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed explosive details of a hit list allegedly prepared by the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), naming 977 individuals—including judges, political activists, and journalists—as targets. The information was submitted before the NIA Special Court in Kerala while opposing bail for two accused in the Palakkad RSS leader Srinivasan murder case.

According to the NIA, the names were compiled by PFI’s “reporter wing,” tasked with gathering intelligence on potential targets. The agency seized a list of 240 names from the wallet of accused Abdul Wahab and recovered another 500 names from the residence of absconding accused Abdul Taha. A former district judge of Kerala is reportedly among those named.

The NIA also alleged that weapons training was conducted at Periyar Valley Campus in Aluva, suggesting a deeper and more organized threat. Personal information of the targets was allegedly collected systematically.

The court denied bail to Mohammad Bilal and Riyasuddin, both accused in the Srinivasan case, stating that the charges were grave and substantiated by preliminary evidence. The accused’s defense claimed innocence and denied the allegations, but the court sided with the prosecution, citing serious national security concerns.

NIA Special Court Judge Mohan Das concluded that granting bail could pose a potential threat and refused to release the accused. The investigation into PFI's covert operations continues.
