On the auspicious occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared that plans are underway to carry labels in Kannada on all products manufactured within the state. This move, unveiled on Friday, is aimed at promoting the local language and asserting its presence across sectors.

Addressing attendees at an event to honor the 69 recipients of the prestigious Rajyotsava awards, Siddaramaiah underscored the government’s commitment to incorporating Kannada on labels of products from both private and public sectors. He emphasized that such initiatives are essential for fostering a deeper connection with the Kannada language among citizens.

"We envision a Karnataka where Kannada is spoken, learned, and used by all," Siddaramaiah stated. He also encouraged non-Kannada speakers to learn the language, stressing its importance in Karnataka's cultural and economic growth.

In a notable announcement, the Chief Minister shared plans to transform the historical district commissioner’s office in Mysuru, known as Attara Kacheri, into a Kannada museum. This site, no longer in use, will be dedicated to showcasing Kannada’s rich cultural heritage.

These initiatives reflect the Karnataka government’s dedication to strengthening the Kannada language and culture, ensuring it resonates in the daily lives of people across the state.
