During his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized India's growing role in artificial intelligence (AI), citing his recent visit to Paris, where he co-chaired the AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron.

He noted that India's progress in AI has garnered global recognition and stressed the need for international collaboration to establish governance frameworks and ethical standards for AI development.

As an example of India's innovative use of AI, the Prime Minister highlighted Thodasam Kailash, a government schoolteacher from Adilabad, Telangana. Kailash has been leveraging AI to preserve tribal languages, particularly through digital music. Using AI tools, he has composed songs in the Kolami language and several others, helping to sustain linguistic heritage. His AI-generated tracks have gained popularity among tribal communities on social media.
PM Modi’s remarks reinforced India's commitment to harnessing AI for societal benefits while advocating responsible and inclusive development. His address reflected the nation's ambition to lead in AI-driven innovation while preserving cultural and linguistic diversity.
