Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again topped the Global Leader Approval Rating chart conducted by Morning Consult, retaining his position as the world’s most trusted and popular leader. According to the latest survey conducted between July 4 and 10, 2025, PM Modi received an approval rating of 75%, placing him firmly at the top among global leaders.

The survey tracks the popularity of world leaders based on regular polling across key democracies. Following PM Modi, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung ranks second with 59%, while Argentine President Javier Milei stands third with 57%. Canada’s newly appointed Prime Minister Mark Carney received 56%, and former U.S. President Donald Trump, currently in the presidential race, holds the 8th position with 44%.

Despite the BJP falling short of the 272 majority mark in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Modi continues to enjoy strong personal popularity. His third term as Prime Minister is currently supported by coalition partners JD(U) and TDP, keeping the NDA alliance in power.

BJP leader Amit Malviya shared the approval rankings on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting Modi’s consistent global recognition and trust. Morning Consult has been tracking global leader approval ratings since 2021, and Modi has regularly topped the list with previous scores of 70% in 2021, 71% in early 2022, 76% in 2023, and 78% in February 2024.

Political observers say Modi’s global appeal stems from his strong leadership image, international presence, and perceived stability in governance. While domestic political dynamics have become more challenging, globally, Modi remains a towering figure.

This consistent global approval rating highlights his continued relevance and stature on the world stage, even amidst shifting alliances and electoral results at home.
