Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again emerged as the most popular leader in the world, surpassing US President Joe Biden and the newly appointed UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The latest rankings were released by Morning Consult, a global decision intelligence firm that tracks the major decisions and approval ratings of global leaders. The survey, conducted from July 8-14, placed PM Modi at the top with an impressive approval rating of 69 percent.

Following PM Modi, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador secured the second position with an approval rating of 63 percent. The rankings are based on a seven-day moving average of views among adults in each country surveyed, as noted by Morning Consult on their website.

The list of 25 leaders also highlighted significant differences in approval ratings among other major global figures. US President Joe Biden received a modest 39 percent approval rating, while Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stood at 29 percent. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer achieved a 45 percent approval rating, and French President Emmanuel Macron had a lower rating of 20 percent.

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida found himself at the bottom of the list with an approval rating of just 16 percent.
