Pooja Entertainment, owned by Vashu Bhagnani and his son, actor Jackky Bhagnani, is grappling with severe financial debt. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari revealed that the cast of "Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan," along with actors from "Mission Raniganj" and "Ganpath," have not been paid yet.
In a gesture of support, Akshay Kumar, the lead actor in "Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan," has allowed the producers to prioritize payments to the entire cast before settling his dues. Jackky Bhagnani expressed gratitude for Kumar's understanding, stating, "The movie business hinges on strong relationships, and that is the spirit we strive to foster in the industry."
"Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan," produced with a hefty budget of 350 crores, managed to gross only approximately 60 crores, adding to the financial strain. The production house is currently in debt of around 250 crores and has accumulated unpaid dues amounting to 31.78 lakh rupees for over 250 set workers, alongside total unpaid dues of 65 lakhs. With a string of 15 flop films, Pooja Entertainment is under immense pressure to resolve its financial obligations and sustain its operations in the competitive film industry.
