  • This has made Chikkabalapur a laughing stock: Dr K Sudhakar
  • A complaint was filed against Pradeep Eshwar by the Vande Mataram Social Service Organisation
  • Pradeep Eshwar claimed to have visited the studio for motivating the contestants

A Bigg Boss promo featuring Congress MLA from Chikkabalapur, Pradeep Eshwar as a contestant had caused a political storm. “There has not been any instance of a Member of Legislative Assembly taking part in Bigg Boss. This has made our district a laughing stock. The whole country is laughing at us. Chikkaballapur which was like a temple tower has been reduced to a laughing stock,” Former Health Minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), K Sudhakar who lost to Pradeep Eshwar in the Chikkabalapur constituency remarked.

Subsequently a complaint was filed against him by the Vande Mataram Social Service Organisation to the speaker. “Pradeep Eshwar is a legislator from Chikkaballapur constituency. He is getting a salary from the state government and he needs to respond to the grievances of the people of his constituency at any given point. Without realising his responsibility, he has gone to participate in an entertainment reality programme,” the complaint alleged.

Pradeep Eshwar has however come clean on the allegations and stated that he is not a contestant but had rather visited the studio for 3 hours to motivate the contestants, given his history as a motivational speaker. He referred to the platform as a platform to connect to crores of Kannadigas in response to Dr K Sudhakar’s comments.
