Prajwal Revanna’s mother served notice by SIT

The foreign trip of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan Prajwal Revanna had made the task of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) looking into the case pertaining to the obscene videos supposedly featuring him harder. In this regard, Prajwal’s announcement that he would be present in front of the SIT on May 31st has provided hope of the case making progress. 

Whether Prajwal was in Dubai, Germany or any other country is unclear at the moment. He however affirmed that his trip was pre planned and was not a ploy to escape the radar of the investigating authorities. He called the case a political conspiracy. He stated that the discourse around the incident made him depressed.

Prajwal will likely be arrested upon his arrival in India. A section under section 376 has been registered against him. Troubles have also increased for his mother Bhavani Revanna. She filed for an anticipatory bail in the case pertaining to the kidnapping of a woman who worked as a househelp in Revanna’s residence. The SIT served a notice to Bhavani. Bhavani’s lawyer posed a question in the court pertaining to the rules under which she was served a notice. The court asked the SIT to respond to the queries. Bhavani will likely face an SIT enquiry on 28th May.
