PM Modi to launch Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) today

It will be held for three days

Leaders will engage in discussions on AI Advancements

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch the 2023 Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit today at 5:30 pm, taking place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The summit, running from December 12 to 14, brings together influential figures from diverse sectors, signifying a pivotal juncture for the collective progress of artificial intelligence (AI).

As the host city, New Delhi is buzzing with anticipation, preparing to receive key stakeholders, experts, and enthusiasts in the AI field. The opening ceremony will establish the framework for three days of engaging discussions, thoughtful deliberations, and collaborative efforts.Since its establishment in June 2020, India has played a substantial role in the Summit, actively participating in numerous initiatives aimed at promoting the development, deployment, and adoption of open, safe, secure, and accountable AI.

“India’s election to its Council in November 2022 reflects its dedication to Safe & Trusted AI,” PM Modi said in a LinkedIn post. 

At the Artificial Intelligence Summit 2023, leaders in the GovTech sector will engage in discussions on significant AI advancements accomplished in the preceding year and explore cutting-edge development strategies for the upcoming years. 

Within the GPAI Summit, essential governing body sessions and a variety of side events are structured to highlight AI advancements and cultivate interactive discussions.

With a rich lineup of events and a diverse array of participants,the summit is poised to stimulate collaborations, innovations, and discussions that will have a lasting influence on the global trajectory of artificial intelligence.
