Pushpa: 2 The Rise is scheduled to be released on August 15th

Conflict emerged between producers and distributors

Distributors are not happy with the rate being charged

Pushpa: 2 The Rise starring Tollywood actor Allu Arjun and actress Rashmika Mandanna has run into some troubles even before its theatrical release. The film is scheduled to be released on Independence Day which falls on August 15th. “Pushpa 2’ is going to have a very different shade of Pushpa than what you’ve seen in ‘Pushpa 1,’ because it is the lower end of the spectrum that you’ve seen. You’ll see the highest end of the spectrum in terms of characterization. So you’ll see him on a very high note, you’ll see him on a very high scale, in terms of characterization, in terms of this scale and presentation and the canvas of the problems are going to be much bigger than what it was compared to ‘Pushpa 1.’ It’s going to be a bigger canvas, and there is a different dimension to the characterization,” Allu Arjun had earlier stated in an interview with Variety.

Particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana which is dominated by Telugu speakers who are the primary audience of the film, a conflict appears to have emerged between the producers and the distributors. Reports suggest that the distributors are not happy with the rate being charged by the producers. Some of them are showing hesitance in finalising a deal with the producers.

The distributors were apparently faced with a loss during the release of the first film in the Pushpa series titled ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’ The distributors are said to have a demand pertaining to covering for losses if a similar scenario unfolds this time. Rs 500 crore is said to have been invested for the film which has been directed by Sukumar.
