The blockbuster sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has officially become the highest ticket-selling film in history. Released in 2024, the film not only shattered box office records but also surpassed K.G.F: Chapter 2 as the most-watched film on BookMyShow.

Reportedly, according to Ashish Saksena, COO of Cinemas at BookMyShow, the film sold over 20 million tickets, setting a new industry benchmark. Pushpa 2 has redefined cinematic milestones, with an unprecedented demand across major cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi-NCR. Notably, 35% of viewers watched the film in single-screen theatres, highlighting the continued love for traditional cinema experiences.

The advance sales for the film were historic, with a record-breaking 107,000 tickets sold within an hour, surpassing the previous records set by Baahubali 2. With its gripping storyline and Allu Arjun’s electrifying performance, the film has set new standards for Indian cinema.

Now available on Netflix, Pushpa 2: The Rule (Reloaded Version) features an additional 24 minutes of footage and is streaming in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. The film has grossed ₹1,232 crore in India and ₹1,738 crore worldwide, solidifying its place as one of the biggest cinematic successes of all time.
