Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Gangavathi in the Kopalla district, Gali Janardhan Reddy talked about his plans for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Kalyana Rajya Pragathi Paksha (KRPP) will field 5 candidates across the constituencies of Bagalkot, Raichur, Kopalla,Chitradurga and Bellary.
He was confident that the party would perform well despite being at a nascent stage of its political journey. The party would concentrate its efforts in the Uttar Karnataka and Kalyan Karnataka regions of the state. He reaffirmed that his party would stand for the cause of the underprivileged people and for the upliftment of the underdeveloped parts of the state.
When asked if he would consider an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he referred to his history with the BJP as a closed chapter of the past. “I have said this in the past. I will say it again. It has been more than one year since I spoke with Sriramalu. We are not related at either a personal level or at a political level. Therefore the question of reestablishing ties through Sriramalu does not arise. KRPP will be the medium through which I will take my cause forward,” he said.
