A potential tragedy was averted at KR Puram railway station in Bengaluru, thanks to the swift response of a vigilant railway staff member and an ex-serviceman. The incident occurred last night on Platform No. 2, as a train bound for Mangaluru was departing from the station.

A passenger attempting to board the moving train lost balance and slipped dangerously close to the edge of the platform. In a matter of seconds, ex-serviceman Satish and railway employee Pradeep Kumar, who were present nearby, rushed to the scene and pulled the passenger to safety.
The timely intervention of both individuals prevented what could have been a fatal accident. Eyewitnesses applauded their presence of mind and courage. The passenger, though shaken, escaped with minor bruises and did not require hospitalization.
The railway authorities have since praised the heroic efforts of Satish and Pradeep Kumar, noting that their swift action exemplifies dedication to public safety. Officials have recommended both for commendations, and their act has drawn appreciation from passengers and staff alike.
