The film’s success led to a sequel in 2013, with Saif reprising his role. However, in 2018, Race 3 saw Salman Khan take over as the lead under the direction of Remo D’Souza. Despite high expectations, the film disappointed fans with its plot and performance at the box office.

In a thrilling development, producer Ramesh Taurani is set to reboot the franchise, with filming scheduled to begin in 2025. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Taurani is in talks with Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra to join the franchise for Race 4. Sources close to the project reveal that Sidharth has expressed keen interest in the role and has been in discussions with Taurani for some time.

The screenplay for Race 4 is currently in development, with both in-house and seasoned writers working on the script. The reboot is expected to feature a face-off between Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra, with both characters possessing shades of grey. The final script is anticipated to be ready by November 2024, at which point Saif and Sidharth will confirm their participation.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is also set to appear in the Telugu film Devara: Part 1, and an upcoming thriller directed by Priyadarshan.
