Indian cricket coach Rahul Dravid has announced that after the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup he would no longer continue in his current role. Rahul Dravid had bagged the role due to his success with the Under-19  team. He entered at a time when India faced disappointing losses against New Zealand and Pakistan at the 2021 T20 World Cup. There was an expectation that India’s trophy drought would come to an end due to his expertise. India however missed the mark in this regard on 3 occasions. “Every tournament is important. Every game that I’ve coached for India has been very important for me. So for me this is no different just because it is going to be the last one that I’m in charge of. I love doing the job. I’ve really enjoyed coaching India and I think it’s a truly special job to do,” Rahul said.
