Haveri District Police, acting on information received from Maharashtra ATS, detained Bhikha Ram, who hails from Jalore in Rajasthan. Reportedly, according to Superintendent of Police Anshu Kumar, the accused had been working at local construction sites and was residing in a rented room in the Gowdar Oni area of Haveri.
The police investigation revealed that Bhikha Ram had recently moved to Haveri, arriving roughly six weeks ago after residing at various locations across the state. His arrest follows an ongoing probe by Maharashtra authorities after the suspect allegedly used social media to issue a threat directed at the prominent Bollywood actor.
With the case now in the hands of Maharashtra ATS, further inquiries will focus on the motives behind the threat and the extent of any network or accomplices. Salman Khan has faced previous threats, prompting heightened security measures. This incident adds to the ongoing concerns around online threats targeting public figures.
