Chennai witnessed a grand promotional event for the upcoming film Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth and an ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.

The film, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is set to release on October 10. However, the highlight of the event was the viral success of the song “Manasilaayo,” composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

During a conversation with Sun News, Rajinikanth spoke about the popularity of the song and credited the team for its success. “Anirudh’s music has been a key factor, but the simple, catchy choreography by Dinesh Master played a significant role. I also want to appreciate lyricists Super Subu, Vishnu Edavan, and singers Deepthi Suresh, Anirudh, and Yugendran,” said the superstar.

While the event was largely successful, it was marred by a controversy surrounding fake passes. Many fans with legitimate tickets were unable to enter, causing a social media uproar. Addressing the issue, Rajinikanth said, “I hope the administration resolves this and ensures it doesn’t happen in the future.”

Rajinikanth also praised Executive Producer GKM Tamilkumaran for managing the film’s large ensemble cast and multiple shooting locations efficiently. Vettaiyan is one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
