In a display of mutual respect between two giants of South Indian cinema, the release of Suriya’s highly anticipated film ‘Kanguva’ was postponed to avoid clashing with Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie ‘Vettaiyan’. Originally set for an October 10 release, ‘Kanguva’ was strategically delayed by Suriya as a gesture of reverence toward Rajinikanth, a symbol of Tamil cinema.

Suriya, speaking at the audio launch of his brother Karthi’s film ‘Meiyazhagan’, had reiterated his respect for Rajinikanth’s legacy.
