Sandalwood actor, producer, and director Rakshit Shetty is facing a new legal battle as an FIR has been filed against him at Yeshwanthpur Police Station over copyright issues. Naveen Kumar of MRT Music has lodged the complaint, alleging that two songs were used without proper authorization in Shetty's recent film, "Bachelor Party."

Directed by Abhijith Mahesh, the comedy entertainer "Bachelor Party" hit the screens on January 26 this year. The songs in question, “Gaalimathu” and “Nyaya Ellide,” were reportedly included in the film without the necessary permissions. Despite previous discussions between Kumar and Shetty regarding these songs, it is claimed that Shetty proceeded without purchasing the broadcast and ownership rights.

Rakshit Shetty’s Paramvah Studios produced the film, which also saw contributions from co-producer Amit Gupta. The film features a notable cast, including Diganth, Loose Maada Yogi, Achyuth Kumar, and Siri Ravikumar.

This is not the first time Shetty has encountered copyright issues. He previously faced similar accusations for using the song “Shanthi Kranti” from V. Ravichandran’s film without permission in “Kirik Party.”

Naveen Kumar, who specializes in acquiring and selling song copyrights, asserts that Shetty's actions violated their agreements. The ongoing legal scrutiny could have significant implications for Shetty and the production house as they navigate these allegations.
