As “Kalki 2898 AD” hit theatres, it wasn't just the star-studded cast that captured the audience's attention. Bhairava’s AI droid companion, BUJJI, quickly became a fan favorite. Known for its near-human-like speech and unwavering support to Prabhas’ character Bhairava, BUJJI stood out as a key element of the film.

BUJJI was developed by the Mahindra Research Valley team in Chennai. This AI droid featured a futuristic design powered by two Mahindra e-motors, driving its distinctive rear spherical wheel. The creation process involved advanced computer simulations to design and test BUJJI’s power system, layout, and overall performance. The result was a vehicle that matched the speed and efficiency of heavy-duty electric trucks or high-performance electric SUVs, all while sporting a sleek, futuristic appearance.
The vehicle was on display at Bengaluru’s Forum Mall in Konankunte. Thousands rushed to the spot to catch a glimpse of the wonder machine.
So what are its specialities?
Well, it weighs a cool 6 tons, is 12 feet wide, 19 feet long, tyres are 34 inches broad and it has to be charged for 18 hours. In a single charge, it can run 40 kms.
Manufactured in Coimbatore, it took a one-and-half years for it to see its completion.
