In the midst of tragedy, a miracle emerged. Ramesh Vishwaskumar Bucharvada, a 38-year-old passenger onboard Air India flight AI171, survived the devastating crash near Ahmedabad airport that claimed the lives of over 200 people. Ramesh, who was seated in seat 11A, was among the 242 passengers on the ill-fated London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that went down just minutes after takeoff on Thursday afternoon.

Eyewitness footage taken shortly after the crash captured Ramesh, visibly injured but conscious, walking unassisted toward an ambulance. As shocked bystanders gathered around, some could be heard asking him about the condition of other passengers. Ramesh appeared disoriented but able to speak, offering a rare glimmer of hope in an otherwise catastrophic event.

The crash, which saw the aircraft plunge from a height of 653 feet before crashing into a hostel structure near the airport, triggered a massive emergency response. Rescue operations are ongoing, with fire and medical teams working around the clock to pull survivors from the debris and rush them to local hospitals.

Ramesh is currently receiving treatment for his injuries, and his condition is said to be stable. Officials have begun identifying victims and are continuing to investigate the cause of one of India’s worst aviation disasters in recent memory.
