Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has revealed exciting details about the sequel to his 2023 blockbuster Animal. Titled Animal Park, the film marks the next chapter in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's gripping saga. Kapoor described Vanga as an "extremely original director" and shared that the project is envisioned as a three-part series.

In an interview with Deadline, Kapoor disclosed that the sequel is set to begin production in 2027, as Vanga is currently working on another film. He explained, “Sandeep wants to make the story over three parts, with Animal Park as the second installment.” Kapoor will portray dual roles in the sequel, playing both the protagonist and antagonist.
The trilogy's ambitious scope draws parallels to Sukumar's Pushpa series, which has garnered massive success.
Animal, which starred Kapoor alongside Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, and Rashmika Mandanna, explored themes of toxic masculinity and father-son conflict. Despite its commercial success, the film faced criticism for its violent and misogynistic elements.
Addressing the backlash, Kapoor acknowledged the importance of socially responsible cinema but defended his choice to explore diverse roles and genres. “As actors, we need to bring about positive change, but it’s also essential to explore varied characters,” he said.
Produced by T-Series, Bhadrakali Pictures, and Cine1 Studios, Animal Park promises to expand on the gripping narrative that captivated audiences in the first film.
