Ranya Rao’s mobile reveals secret links; DRI uncovers crucial evidence

The gold smuggling case involving actress Ranya Rao has taken a new turn as the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) retrieved critical information from her mobile phones. Investigators have uncovered photos and videos of an influential politician, along with key evidence linking her to more than eight individuals suspected to be part of the smuggling network.

Ranya, unaware that she would be arrested, had continued using her phone freely. When the DRI detained her at Kempegowda International Airport, they immediately seized her mobile phones to prevent any data tampering. After taking her into custody, officials noticed multiple incoming calls, which raised further suspicions.

During the investigation, the DRI tracked two mobile phones, one of which was found at her residence and another, an iPhone, which Ranya used actively. Officers have begun retrieving data from iCloud to gather more information. Along with photos and videos, some crucial documents have also been seized, which could provide deeper insights into her network and operations.

Ranya had requested access to her mobile phone during custody, but the DRI denied her request. The investigation is expected to intensify, as officials examine whether the influential figures in her contacts were involved in gold smuggling or other illegal activities.
