The Delhi Police had earlier nabbed 23-year-old Eemani Naveen, a resident of Guntur in relation to the production of the deep fake video. Artificial Intelligence was used for making the video. It is being reported that Eemani was actually a fan of Rashmika Mandanna. He is believed to have made the video in order to increase followers on his Instagram page. This page was actually envisioned to be a fan page of Rashmika. A First Information Report (FIR) was filed under sections 465 and 469 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 66C and 66E of the Information Technology Act on November 10th.
