Following the tragic stampede at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium that claimed 11 lives during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) IPL victory celebration, the franchise has officially announced the creation of the 'RCB Cares Fund' to support affected families and individuals.

In a heartfelt statement, RCB expressed deep sorrow over the incident and affirmed its commitment to stand by the fans who have supported the team throughout its 18-year journey. “Our fans will always remain at the heart of everything we do,” the official statement read.

As part of the initiative, RCB will provide ₹10 lakh in financial assistance to the families of each deceased fan. In addition, the fund will also be utilized to support and care for those who were injured during the tragic event. The franchise emphasized that the fund is not a one-time gesture but a dedicated step toward addressing the immediate and long-term needs of the affected.

RCB also assured that it is working closely with local authorities and medical teams to extend timely help and monitor the recovery of those hospitalized.

The gesture has been widely appreciated by fans and the cricketing community, who continue to mourn the loss of lives during what should have been a moment of collective celebration and joy.
