In a one-sided IPL 2025 semi-final clash at Mullanpur Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) demolished Punjab Kings, bowling them out for just 101 runs in 14.1 overs to secure an hopeful early victory.

RCB skipper Rajat Patidar’s decision to bowl first after winning the toss proved spot-on as Punjab Kings collapsed under relentless pressure from the Bengaluru bowling unit. The Punjab innings never took off, with the team losing six wickets for just 60 runs.

Yash Dayal set the tone by dismissing opener Priyansh Arya for 7. Bhuvneshwar Kumar soon followed up by removing Prabhsimran Singh for 18. Veteran pacer Josh Hazlewood chipped in by clean bowling Josh Inglis for just 4 runs. Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer also fell cheaply, managing only 2.

RCB’s young spinner Suyash Sharma was the star of the show, ripping through Punjab's middle and lower order. He bowled Shashank Singh for 3, trapped Mushir Khan leg-before, and clean bowled Marcus Stoinis — grabbing three crucial wickets in a fiery spell.

Punjab’s promising campaign came to a crashing halt as their batting line-up folded without resistance. With no significant partnerships and wickets tumbling rapidly, they were bundled out for a meager 101.

RCB looks hopeful to chase down the target comfortably, registering a dominant win and booking their place in the IPL 2025 final.
