In one of the posts, star player Virat Kohli was seen addressing fans in Hindi, which has sparked an outcry among Bengaluru-based supporters. One fan voiced their concerns, stating, “As a proud Kannadiga and Bengaluru-based RCB fan, it’s disheartening to see our franchise using Hindi. Bengaluru represents Kannada culture, and RCB should prioritize Kannada-English communication in their posts.”

The controversy has raised questions about whether RCB should be more mindful of local sentiments and consider using Kannada in its communication, as teams like Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals refrain from using regional languages in their social media posts.

As the backlash grows, RCB may need to reconsider its social media strategy to maintain harmony with its local fanbase while catering to a broader audience.
