Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have stormed into the IPL 2025 final with a series of emphatic wins over some of the strongest contenders. Unlike previous seasons, this time RCB didn’t just sneak through, they bulldozed their way to the top, setting the stage for a historic first-ever IPL title.

As fate would have it, RCB will face Punjab Kings in the final showdown at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, a clash that's both symbolic and emotional for fans. It’s the 18th season of the IPL, and Virat Kohli, who wears jersey number 18, is being hailed as the lucky charm. Fans are drawing parallels to Shabari’s devotion in the Ramayana, saying their 18-year-long wait for the title might finally end.
RCB has already become more than just a cricket team, it’s an emotion for millions. Now, with the final in sight, excitement has reached fever pitch. However, rain gods may have a different plan.
Ahmedabad has witnessed continuous rainfall for the past three days, including during the crucial Qualifier 2. With no reserve day available for that match, it was played late into the night. Fortunately, the IPL final does have a designated Reserve Day. If Tuesday's game is washed out, the final will move to Wednesday.
But if the weather disrupts play on both days, IPL rules state that Punjab Kings will be declared champions based on their higher standing in the league stage. This looming possibility has left RCB fans anxious, as their long-awaited dream might dissolve in the rain.
