According to sources close to the franchise, RCB received Rs 861 crore from the BCCI, this included Rs 250 crore as a standard season share, Rs 171 crore in performance bonuses, and a whopping Rs 420 crore from media rights and central sponsorship revenue. These figures reflect the growing financial might of IPL franchises and the immense commercial pull RCB holds, particularly after becoming champions.

But that’s just part of the picture. The team also earned approximately Rs 220 crore through ticket sales from seven home games, merchandise sales, individual sponsorships, and digital advertising revenue. Breakdowns show Rs 60 crore from ticket sales, Rs 30 crore from merchandise, Rs 10 crore from digital platforms, and Rs 120 crore through direct advertising and sponsors.

The impact of RCB’s victory extended beyond cricket. Parent company United Spirits, which owns the franchise, saw its stock valuation rise by Rs 2,163 crore following the win, an indicator of how deeply commercial success and sporting glory are intertwined in the IPL.
