A1 Pavitra Gowda in this case had already been sent to judicial custody and is staying in Parappana Agrahara.

During the arguments, it was said that Darshan has a tremendous fan following and his presence outside could prove dangerous.

It was also mentioned before the court that Darshan was very much involved in the orchestration of the kidnap and the destruction of evidence.

Darshan and his gang have been charged with the murder of Renukaswamy, who was allegedly kidnapped from Chitradurga and brought to Bengaluru. Reports suggest that a group of around 17 people led Renukaswamy into a shed, where Darshan is said to have violently attacked him. It is also alleged that Renukaswamy was subjected to electric shocks before being killed. His body was later disposed of in a drain, seemingly to frame the crime as a financially motivated murder. In this case, Darshan is designated as A2, while Pavitra Gowda is identified as A1.
