Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old auto driver, was violently assaulted by Darshan and co in Bengaluru. The chargesheet alleges that Pavithra Gowda instigated Darshan to orchestrate the attack after Renukaswamy, using a social media account, harassed her with inappropriate comments about her and her daughter. Gowda is accused of participating in the assault by hitting Renukaswamy multiple times with her footwear.
Despite claims by Gowda’s lawyer that she was not present during the attack, the chargesheet details her involvement, stating that she not only provoked Darshan but also directly assaulted the victim. After being beaten, Renukaswamy was thrown, causing him to collide with a vehicle and fall to the ground, resulting in severe injuries.
The chargesheet includes extensive evidence, such as forensic reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements, which support the allegations against Darshan and his co-accused. The case has drawn significant public attention, with the accused facing serious charges in what is being described as a premeditated and brutal murder.
