Despite his growing popularity in prison, Darshan’s legal battles continue. Recently, the Karnataka High Court denied his request for homemade food, directing him to approach the subordinate judiciary to address his plea. The court’s decision underscored the balance between prisoner rights and maintaining practical uniformity within the prison system.

Darshan was arrested last June in Mysuru, where he was found gymming. His arrest was part of a broader crackdown that has seen 17 individuals incarcerated in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. The case has attracted significant attention, with Darshan and the main accused, Pavitra Gowda (A1), at the center of the ongoing investigation.

As the investigation and legal proceedings continue, Darshan’s interactions within the prison and his requests for special privileges will likely remain points of interest for both authorities and the public.
